John Vidlicka Obituary

John C. Vidlicka, of Pittston, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 11, 1916, in Jenkins Township, he was a son of the late Vasil and Julia Vidlicka. He attended Jenkins Township High School.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist for Chamberlain. He also worked in the area coal mines.
He was a member of the Polish Club in Dupont; and a social member of the VFW, Dupont.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Germaine Rodola, who died January 6, 2003; brothers, Charles and Michael Vidlicka; sisters, Dianna Moore, Mary Wandrick and Susan Danko.
He is survived by sons, John and his wife, Virginia Vidlicka, of Pittston, and Dan Vidlicka, of Laflin; grandchildren, Jack Vidlicka and Cheryl Miller; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Township Blvd., Pittston Township. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
