Jon Chisko Obituary

Jon E. "Bud" Chisko, 88, died Tuesday at FDR Veterans Hospital,
Montrose.
He was born Oct. 22, 1916, in Edwardsville, to Joseph and Anna (Tenza)
Chisko.
Bud served in the U. S. Army Air Corps from 1942-1945, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He came to the Bronx in 1964, and worked as a bellman, and later a doorman in Manhattan, retiring in 1987.
From 1964 until 1998 he lived with his niece, Dolores Mundy Leonard, who was devoted to him until her death in 2002.
Survivors include grand-nephews, Joseph and John Leonard, of Hazleton; a grand-niece, Kathleen Leonard, of Croton; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings Frances Mundy, Julia Reysen, Josephine Miliauskas, Mary Pecukonis, Joseph Chisko and Raymond Chisko.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Chapel, Croton.

The family expresses appreciation for the compassion and care given to John at the VA Hospital, Building 6, Unit CD.
