FORTY FORT — Joseph James Danowski, of Forty Fort, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home, following a courageous battle with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Born Dec. 12, 1952, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Walter and Edith Bozentka Danowski.
Joseph was a 1970 graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was self-employed as a master plumber.
Joe enjoyed working on small engines as a hobby and he had a great love for his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Danowski.
Surviving is his wife, the former Sheryl Sealock; daughters, Lynda and Jennifer; brother, Michael Danowski, of Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Mary Oresick and her husband, Mike, of Nanticoke, and Carol McNulty and her husband, Dennis, of Laflin; sister-in-law, Theresa Danowski, of Wilkes-Barre; and nieces and nephews, Diane and Derek Shaffer, Sheila Bunk, Michael and Wendy Oresick Jr., Leann and Ryan Milford, William and Andrea Danowski, Adonna Danowski, Shane and Anita Ruggere, and Brandon McNulty.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville. The Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Joseph's family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Bruce Saidman and the staff at Medical Oncology Associates, Kingston.
