Joseph S. Elko

JOSEPH S. ELKO , 86, of Plymouth, passed away Sunday evening, November 30, 2008. He was a 1939 graduate of Plymouth High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 463 and V.F.W. Post 1425. He retired from Balester Optical Co., Wilkes Barre. He greatly enjoyed golfing. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Verna Thomas Elko; sister Marie Leonard Davis. Surviving are wife of 65 years, the former Miriam Wychulis; sister Ann Gondek, New Jersey; nieces; nephews.
Services are being held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are made by S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Larksville Ambulance Company, 211 E State St., Kingston, PA 18704
