Dr. Evans treated my husband, Jim, for a few months. From the first visit when Jim shared he was a WI native, they talked of the WI Badger football team, and how fond he was of his time in Madison, WI. Of course, that made Jim much more at ease with yet another doctor to get through his cancer complications. His last visit, the nurse took him to his office so that Dr. Evans could show Jim his Badger screen saver. What a kind man to share this little joy, and make Jim feel welcome when he came to his appts.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dr. Evans was not only an excellent physician, but a kind and compassionate man. I had the pleasure of working with him both at St. Mary's Hospital and VCS, and will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with the Evans family.

Dr Evans was not only my doctor and college, but most of all my friend. He was a great doctor and also a wonderful caring person who left a great impression on my life. I enjoyed working with him. I respected his knowledge in EP and considered him to be one of the best EP physicians, I know many other people felt the same. I consider myself blessed to have been his patient and his co-worker and his friend. He was a great person and will be deeply missed.

In October of 2004, Dr. Evans performed a radio frequency ablation on me. It literaly changed my life. I am able to run, exericse, and have a full life. Prior to that time, I was barely existing. I wrote a thank you note to Dr. Evans every October in gratitude for his work. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My deep sympathy to his wife and family. May God bless you all and may Dr. Evans rest in peace.

I was saddened to learn of Joe's passing. He took life seriously but always had a smile on his face. I played baseball with him on Scranton Prep's baseball team. He was a good guy. My condolences to his family on your loss.
