Joseph Paniczko Obituary

Joseph S. Paniczko, 87, of Loyalville, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Paniczko was born in Wilkes-Barre, on Dec. 26, 1921, and was a son of the late Alexander and Barbara Mushiyski Paniczko.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Joseph was employed as a tractor-trailer driver for Frank B. Sgarlat Co., Forty Fort, and Harry Hughey Trucking Co., Tunkhannock, prior to retiring in 1986.
His wife, the former Elsie Aicher, passed away in 1991.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward, John, Frank, Alexander, William, Philip; and sisters, Martha Gill, Helen Kerzera and Veronica Panuszka.
Surviving are nephews, John Paniczko and Paul Kozera Jr.; friends, Willis, Debbie, David, Charley and Jennifer Fisher.
A prayer service will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi, of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, officiating.
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Loyalville United Methodist Church, c/o Barbara Barbacci, 36 State Route 29, Noxen, PA 18636.

Joe will be missed by all. He was a great person. Joe and Elsie were Grandmas's best friends. They are all now together. I can remember staying all night at Joe & Elsie's with grandma. They are all very much missed and love. They are all with God and in very good hands.
