Kenneth Jones Obituary
WILKES-BARRE — Kenneth Jones, 85, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at Highland Manor, Exeter. Born Mar. 11, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Norman and Leah White Jones.
Ken attended G.A.R. High School, Wilkes-Barre, and served in the United States Army from 1957-59. He was employed at Whiteman Paper Company, Wilkes-Barre, and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #401, Wilkes-Barre.
Ken was a motorcycle enthusiast, and a Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth in 1963; and brothers: Raymond, David, Norman, Robert, and a sibling that died at the age of 2.
Surviving is his wife, the former Carol Wallace, with whom he was married 60 years on Sept. 3; daughter, Carolanne Jones-Leco and her husband, Dan of Wilkes-Barre; son, William Jones at home; sister-in-law, Evelyn Jones of Wilkes-Barre; and his dog, "Sissy."
Visitation will be held Monday, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Private interment, at the convenience of the family, will be in St. John's Cemetery, Dallas.
