Kenneth J. Musto, 83, of Pittston and most recently of Wesley Village, died March 25, 2026, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Born in Pittston on Nov. 27, 1942, he was the devoted son of the late John and "Day" Pasquariello Musto of Cork Lane. He was a graduate of Saint John's High School, Class of 1960, and King's College, Class of 1964. Kenneth proudly served in the Peace Corps station in the Ivory Coast. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, where he was an avid volunteer. Kenneth worked as a medical technician specialist at Pittston, NPW, Nesbitt, and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospitals, and retired as a supervisor.
Kenneth had a very strong sense of community involvement — he was an active member in the formation of the Care and Concern Clinic of Pittston and volunteered at the Geisinger Heart Hospital. Privately, Kenneth was very proud of an endowment established at LCCC in the name of his late wife to assist students pursing a career in nursing. He was a lifelong member of the Greater Pittston YMCA, where he served on the board of directors.
After retirement, he found great joy in substituting at Seton Catholic High School and his adopted alma mater, Wyoming Area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years, Kathryn (Kathy) Theresa Musto; brothers, Ronald J. Musto Sr. and John Musto Jr.; brother-in-law, Tracy O'Haire; sister-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Dodgson; niece, Mary Dodgson; and nephew, Michael Dodgson.
Surviving are sister-in-law, Mary Jean Musto; nieces and nephews, Lisa Musto, Ronald J. Musto Jr. (Renee), Nicholas Musto (Katherine), Donald Dodgson (Colleen), Kay Dodgson, Brian Dodgson (Ann Marie), Grace Ann Dodgson (Ed Duffy), John Dodgson (Pam), and Susan Dodgson; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A terrible shock. I just talked to him 4 days before. He was a GREAT friend. The fun we had, especially about our beloved Pittston Hospital. He called everybody, "Doll". Rest well, Kenny. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Kenny when I was based out of Geisinger Wyoming Valley from November 2005 to April 2007. He represented our Laboratory Medicine department in a very professional and caring manner. I remember he always called me "Joseph" - a tribute to our parochial upbringing. My condolences to his family and friends. Kenny will be missed.

I worked with Kenny for many years at GWV Laboratory, always a pleasure to work alongside him. Once retired, we saw Kenny often at church functions or around town. Asking about his lab and my family. He was a kind soul who loved to volunteer. He will be missed as a dear kind friend.
Condolences to his family, he was a gem.

I have the privilege of meeting Ken when I took over the volunteer program at GWV. Ken not only volunteered in the heart hospital, but he also did special projects and helped with the Junior Volunteer program etiquette dinner. My favorite times with Ken was when we all got together to eat lunch and share stories. Over the years, he became my friend he will be greatly missed. My sympathy goes out to his family. Please know Ken was a true gem to the Geisinger Volunteer community.
