Louise Evelyn Cole, age 90, formerly of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock.
Born in Atchison, Kan., Louise was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mable Armour Grabb.
Louise was a stay-at-home mom who was very active in the PTA at her children's schools. She and her late husband, James H. Cole, who died in 1997, were also very active in the Antique Auto Club of America. Louise was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were sisters, Margaret Grabb, Grace Wedeman, Beverly Sackett, Jewell Grabb and Marvene Low.
Surviving are her daughters, Louise Moreck and husband George, Meshoppen; Sandra Peoples and husband Art, Dallas; Beverly McGeer and husband William, Forty Fort; four grandchildren, George and James Moreck, Melissa and Tug McGeer; one great-grandchild, Elliot Cole Moreck; and sister, Oaple Boehm, Waverly, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Dorranceton United Methodist Church, 549 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. The Rev. Nick Keeney will officiate. Interment will be made in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are by Harold C. Snowdon Homes for Funerals Inc., 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the United Methodist Homes of Tunkhannock, 50 W. Tioga Ave., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
