Marion Mattioli Obituary

Marion Mattioli, 75, of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Duryea, entered into eternal rest while surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, December 7, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Duryea on July 14, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Herman. Marion was very beautiful, inside and out. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt. She had an illuminating smile which never diminished throughout her illness. She will be vividly remembered and profoundly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Veronica Stofey and Susan Menchi, and granddaughter Lauren Kostelansky. Marion is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Domenic "Matty" Mattioli; three daughters, Sandy Loftus and husband Brian, Duryea; Mary Kay Gardner and husband David, Pittston, and Lori Kostelansky and husband Ron, Pittston; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jordan and Tyler Loftus; Chase and Ciara Gardner; and Justin, Austin and Kyle Kostelansky, three sisters, Lucille Herman, Duryea; Betty Melvin, Pittston, and Helen McDonald, Southern Pines, N.C. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish (Holy Rosary Church), 125 Stephenson St., Duryea, with Father Charles Rokosz officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Interment will be held at the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Duryea, at the convenience of the family. Condolences may also be made online at www.kiesingerfuneralservices.com .
