Dear Marie,
I was very saddened to first learn of your mom's death as I lectored this past Sunday, but I am so glad I saw you in church. Although I met your mother only briefly, I can tell that she was a very loving, caring, and courageous soul. You also have those characteristics, and I know your mother was proud to have you as a daughter, and very proud of her family. I know how difficult it is to lose a mother, especially during the holidays, so my love and prayers go to you, your father, Carol, Jimmy, and all of your extended family and friends. I am sure that she is continually smiling at all of you from her heavenly home! May the love of friends and family give you much comfort during this difficult time.
Love and prayers to all.

Dear Mr. Ferris, Carol, Marie and Jimmy:
It is with great sadness that I write this note. I have so many positive memories of Mary Ellen; without a doubt she was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. She always made me feel that she cared deeply for my brother, sisters, and me, and it was always very easy to talk to her. I know how much she loved my mom and dad, and she often shared stories about them that helped me know them in ways I never would have. I always will treasure the talks we had, and her sense of humor and positive outlook on life!
She also was very proud of her family! Always! The last time I saw her at North Lake a couple of summmers ago she was proudly updating me on everyone's lives. Needless to say, even though we hadn't seen one another in some time it was like no time at all had passed. She was such a genuine person.
I loved Mary Ellen and I am thankful to have had her in my life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and my door is always open to all of you and your families. Beth Anne and I are both living in St. Augustine, Florida, and would welcome you any time.
Love and peace to you in this difficult time.

Jim, Durelle and I are away but we wanted to express our sympathy to you and your family. Mary Ellen was a wonderful woman. We always had fun when we worked together. We laughed a lot. I had a chance to say hello the last time she was at the office. I also appreciated her dedication to the Blinf Association. Mary Ellen will be remembered warmly and missed by her many friends. Jim:
Although Marie and I are away, our thoughts and prayers are with you and you family. What a wonderful lady!!
My fond memories of Mary Ellen go back to the late 40's and early 50's when she and Beverly Jones tried to teach me how to waltz at Aunt Maes. I can still remember: 1 - 1,2. She will always be an integral part of North Lake. God Bless!

Dear Jim,
Billy, Robby and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. I know that words ring rather hollow right now. Other the than Lord, no one knows exactly how you feel. Rest assured that if you allow Jesus to take the lead at this time, your physical, emotional and spiritual needs will be met. His love is sufficient. What a blessing it was that you had one another for some many years.
Thank you for being a friend to our family.
