Michael J. Ardoline

Michael J. Ardoline, 68, of West Pittston, passed away Saturday morning, August 14, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Pittston, on December 18, 1941, he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Peters Ardoline. He was a graduate of West Pittston High School and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Ardoline was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. He was a member of the Order of the Sons of Italy in America, Enrico Caruso Lodge, serving as financial secretary. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed. Mr. Ardoline was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ardoline; and a sister, Peggy Ardoline. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Louise Phethean Ardoline; sons, Michael Ardoline Jr., Pittston, and Robert Ardoline and his wife, Laurie, Chester Springs, Pa.; daughter Rebecca Ardoline, Reedsville, Pa.; grandchildren, Callie and Michael Ardoline; brothers, Raymond Ardoline, Alexandria, Va.; Robert Ardoline, Harding, and William Ardoline, Pittston; as well as numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
