Michael Balent Obituary
LUZERNE — It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Andrew Balent announces his passing on May 31, 2023.
Mike was born on Sept. 20, 1983, in Montgomery County but resided most of his life in Luzerne. He was the son of Michael Balent Sr. and Anne Malfi-Palotas.
Mike worked as a CDL Class A truck driver. He was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for the heart he shared with his family, friends and dogs. He truly loved each of them — and if you knew him, you knew it. Mike was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his wallet to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Balent Sr.
Mike is survived by his brother, Anthony and wife Amy; niece, Addison; and nephew/godson, Ashton; mother, Anne Malfi-Palotas; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his two dogs: Ally and Big Mike.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Mike will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blue Chip Animal Farm Refuge.

My condolences go to mikes family, he was a hard worker & was my friend. He gave me great advice when needed & he was funny. When he told me about his dogs we would laugh so hard & just conversate. I´ll miss you mike! You were such a good hearted person!
