Nicholas Borowitz Obituary
WILKES-BARRE — Nicholas B. Borowitz, 83, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.
Born June 4, 1938, in Scranton, a son of Anastasia Borowitz, he was orphaned and later adopted by Ann and George Yeagler.
Nick graduated from Saint Michael's School in Hoban Heights in 1957 and joined the United States Army. He proudly served our country for four years.
Nick continued his education and earned a degree in business administration while working for Charles and Mary Music Company, Percy Brown's and Mercy Hospital before taking the civil service exam. He medically retired from the Social Security Administration at age 62.
Celebration of Nick's Life will take place Wednesday with visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at McLaughlin's, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment with military honors will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park in Dallas.
