Norma Warmouth Obituary

FORTY FORT — Norma M. Warmouth, 94, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Her beloved husband of 25 years was the late Thomas J. Warmouth Sr., who passed away on March 6, 1977.

Born on June 18, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, Norma was one of three daughters born to the late John Innocenti and Julia Fronzoni Innocenti. Raised in Swoyersville, Norma was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1948. Prior to her retirement, Norma was employed for 37 years as a purchasing clerk for Balester Optical, Wilkes-Barre. In her earlier years, she was employed by the former Blue Ribbon Cake Company, Kingston.

A woman of faith, Norma was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.

Norma's enthusiasm for cooking was infectious — she loved cooking for her family and friends, and was famous for her homemade cappelletti, ravioli, pierogi, fried chicken, fried zucchini, and soup broth. Talented at crocheting and knitting, Norma will be best remembered by her loved ones for the baby blankets she knitted them — they will surely continue to wrap themselves in her loving creations for years to come.

Norma's presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She showed love in everything she did throughout her life journey, and her family is grateful for the wonderful memories they have of her — they will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, John and Julia Innocenti, and her husband, Thomas, Norma was preceded in death by her sister, Pia Selecky.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas J. Warmouth Jr. and his wife Liz, Forty Fort; her step-grandchildren: Katie Santilli and Kellie Meyer; a step-great-grandson, Luca Santilli; her sister, Corrine Yarmel, Endicott, New York; as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew.

The Warmouth family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the fifth floor doctors, nurses, and staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for the kindness and compassion they bestowed upon Norma during her time of need.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, in Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, 339 North Maple Ave., Kingston, with the Reverend Father James J. Paisley, officiating. Family and friends may gather directly at the church on Friday morning.
