Olga Souchik Obituary
Olga Souchik, 92, of Plains Township, passed away on March 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Nicholas. She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., a daughter to Michael and Anna Seman. Olga was a graduate of Plains High School. She was a past member of the Lady Lions and she was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, where she actively participated in church affairs. She also held several offices and was past president of the PTG. Olga spent a few years volunteering as a Pink Lady at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She is survived by daughters Judith, Karen Rizzo and Mary Ann; sisters Ann Seman, Margaret Seman, Elizabeth Stemmer, Rosemary Seman, Irene Sober, Mary Ann Pieszala and Sylvia Chronowski; brothers Andrew Seman and Theodore Seman; three grandchildren, Matthew Rizzo, Mark Rizzo and Angela Longerbeam; five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St Mary's Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, 695 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, the Very Rev. James Hayer officiating. Interment will be in St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m., with Parastas service conducted at 5 p.m.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. (I happened to google your name, after speaking with Roger Hunt, and coincidentally found out about this today.) I wish you and all of your family the very best during this difficult time.

What I remember the most about Aunt Olga is her cooking! She was a fantastic baker! I loved her cookies! She always made positive and loving comments to the family. I miss her alot.

Dear Judy, Karen and Mary Ann, I'm truly sorry for the passing of your wonderful mother. She will always be very special to me because it was she who I chose for a role model years ago as we grew up having family gatherings at "Uncle Nick's" on River St.

My sympathy on the passing of your mother! I have only fond memories of the Souchik family on River St--from your Dad our TV repairman to your Mom putting up with me reading all of your comic books on the back porch to the summer days gone by in the back yard.
