Paul Keiper Obituary

Paul R. (Dick) Keiper Sr., age 68, of Sweet Valley, formerly of Noxen, passed away Tuesday morning, June 13, 2006, after a lengthy illness at the Kindred Hospital of Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, where the nurses and staff took exceptional care of him during his illness.
Mr. Keiper was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, and was a son of the late Clayton and Elsie (Blizzard) Keiper Sr.
He graduated from Lake-Noxen High School, class of 1956. In 1957 he married his high school sweetheart, the former Nancy Kline and they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this coming December.
He was a retiree of Procter & Gamble Paper Products, Mehoopany.
Paul was an avid Philadelphia Eagles football fan and his favorite pastimes included camping, fishing and horses.
His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Keiper.
Surviving in addition to his loving and devoted wife are his caring children, Deborah Moyer and her husband, Gary, Sweet Valley; Susie Gross and her husband, Jodie, Sweet Valley; Paul R. Keiper and his wife, Michele, Harveys Lake: brothers, Robert Keiper, Palm Bay, Fla.; Clayton Keiper Jr., Tunkhannock; Raymond Keiper, Noxen; sister, Dorothy Hettiger, Montrose; grandchildren, Matthew and Tara Moyer, Jennifer and Matthew Lovett, Stephanie and Christopher Birt, Brandy and Matthew Cilvik, Michael Gross, Kyle, Caleb, Kassie and Carey-Anne Keiper; great-grandchildren, Halli and Logan Moyer, Julia and MacKenna Lovett and Zachery Birt; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of state Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Raymond D. Purdy Jr., pastor of the Living Word Baptist Church, Fairmount Township, officiating.
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
