Robert Anthony "Bobby" Bratton, II, age 31, Group Leader for General Motors and resident of Oak Lake Subdivision in Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 2 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 11a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Terry Lamar officiating. Burial followed in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family visited with friends Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bobby was born on July 1, 1986 in Columbia, Tenn. and was raised in the Williamsport community. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ross Walline on Jan. 26; and paternal grandfather, Edward "Eddie" Bratton on Oct. 18, 1967. Dear Robert,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you are feeling and all I could do is cry. I always believed that the best place for a child is with his parents. God has other plans. The good Lord is truly the only person
who will help you get thru this. wish I could come forward and give you a hug and cry with you. Now your life will be one day at a time. you will get thru this. No one could take your memories.

Vicki, QPa, Krystle, Sydney, Molly, Suzi, and dear Bratton Family, may God comfort you and guide you through this difficult time. There really are no words that I can say to ease what you are going through so I will just continue to pray that our Heavenly Father comfort you and pray that you lean on each other and those around you at this time. I truly wish that I could be there to throw my arms around your necks at this time. I love you all so much. I loved Bob through his mama. Bobby sure knew love through the strong women in his life. I have NO doubt about that. His mom, his wife, his sister and his daughters. He was engulfed with love of strong beautiful women! That is heaven on earth right there! What a lucky man. I'm sure he'd tell everyone that! Every time I see that first pitch of the baseball season, I will think of Bobby because I can hear Vicki telling me of Bobby's love for the game. That is something I can relate to. We share the love of that game and the love of fishing. He had a quiet demeanor but I knew his heart screamed of love for all of his girls.
God Bless you all. You are all loved.

Bobby was a longtime classmate. We graduated together in 2004. Bobby always treated others with respect. It was an honor watching him play on the baseball field and seeing him take pride in his athletics. Thinking of his young family, parents, and sister.

May my thoughts and prayers be with The family. Bobby played baseball with my son
Ryan and we had many memories built around Columbia American Little league. I had the chance to work with Bobby before I retired from GM, Bobby was a thoughtful and well respected young man by his corworkers and other GM leaders. Bobby would always
Kid me about ex Little league players now working with past coaches. His sense of workmanship and leadership was always top notch. Bobby was very proud of his wife and children, and always took time to brag about his girls. May he rest in eternal peace and may Our Heavenly Father comfort the family.
God Bless
