PLAINS TWP. — Robert A. Simonetti, 68, of Plains Township, a Wilkes-Barre police officer, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023. His wife of 30 years is the former Katrina Bibak. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main St., Plains Township. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m.

I knew Simoe from high school & many years after that. He was always funny, intelligent , interesting & most of a true friend that I could always count to be there for me.

My condolences to his family. Bob was a great man, he was always the go to guy when you wanted to solve a crime. Bob would always look at a case file and almost instantly solve the case. What a Detective he was. He wouldn´t rest until justice was served. That was just Bob. May he rest in peace in heaven.
