Robert Washko Obituary

Robert Washko, of Wilkes-Barre, a former native of Swoyersville, died Monday, December 6, at the Mercy Special Care Hospital after a long-term illness.
Born in Swoyersville, he was the son of the late Charles and Sophie (Ezbicki) Washko. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville. Prior to retirement he was employed at Whiteman Towers, Hanover. He was a former Swoyersville All State Football player. He was a graduate of Swoyersville High School. He was an active member and coach of the Swoyersville Little League and Fort-Swoyer Teener League and the Swoyersville Sailor Football Programs.
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Cooper, Aston Pa.; sons, Robert Jr., Avoca; James, Forty-Fort; five grandchildren, Angelina, Justin and Christopher Cooper, and Jordan and Paige Washko; one great-grandchild, Delany Sargent; sister, Rosemarie Butchko, Swoyersville; brother, Charles Washko, Florida; and companion, Pat Brojakowski.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 6-9.~

Bob was a good friend, and although we lost touch the last ten years, I will sadly miss him and wish condolences to those who loved him.
