I think of Robin quite frequently. She was a larger than life energetic spirit. I miss her to this day. She left a huge impression on me those early parenting that we were friends. She was a unique and singular spirit that remains very strong in my world.

2020: still seems like yesterday you were here. Still seems like I just got the news you were gone. Still hard to comprehend your absence. Still missing you. Still baffled. Still sad. A little angry. And you always remain shiny, bright & beloved as always ❤

I still think of Robin. It is interesting how the departed hover in our lives: a gift found in a cupboard, hearing an expression they often used, and random thoughts bring back shared moments from the past. The pain of the loss diminishes, but the sadness never goes away.

I think of Robin often. The reality of her leaving us still gives me pause. I recently found her name in her sister Marsha's rolodex. Something definitely from the past. There is a metaphor there and the beginning of a poem. When I saw it, I phoned her in my mind. Greetings Robin.

Mickey, Sophie and Marshall,
I had such mixed emotions when this anniversary reminder popped up in my inbox. It was wonderful to be reminded of your funny, gregarious, intelligent mother. It was also heartbreaking to realize it has been six years of being deprived of her vivacity. I hope all of you are doing well. I would love for you to reach out on Facebook or email to let me know how you all are. It would be lovely to hear from you. Much love, Rachel Fisher

Robin was a member of my Fellowship Circle at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. She was a delightful young woman who added so much to our discussions with great compassion and a lively wit. We enjoyed spending time with Robin and treasure the wonderful memories we shared. She is deeply missed by her friends in the Tuesday Morning Fellowship Circle.

I just learned of Robin's passing, and I am absolutely saddened. I got to know her at the unitarian universalist fellowship in Newport News, and she will absolutely be missed. We were in a circle together, and I so enjoyed her insight and energy. It seemed like she was on a new path in her life, and I'm so sorry her time here was short. She will be missed by me and many others at the fellowship.

Unbelievable. I first met your mother when she was younger, this was like 1982. Her guitar lesson was before mine, and I can still see her in her "hippie chick" clothes holding her guitar case, that big smile that made you smile. She later was going out with one of my friends, so I saw her now and then. Then I got married to one of her friends and distant cousin. We moved on Wood street and she lived next door, small world. Then we moved and she moved. She stopped over our house once or twice in the 90's when she came back to west pittston to visit. Still smiling and full of life. It looked like she had a great life from her photos on facebook, I just can't beleive it's true. God bless Robin. Peace and Love, Leo and Debi

To all of my "lil cuz"'s familiy...I only got to meet Micheal when you were about 4 yers old... Your mom caught up with me on FB, in which I do not really use, but she told me of her loving family & how proud she was of each of you. I grew up with her, & your grandparents were my God parents. The times we shared together were filled with fun & excitement, as she taught me(the backwards child)alot!! I am so heart broken to not have been able to see her before her departuture from this world.I put in a prayer request today @ our Church, the same one we grew up in, for all of you. Your mother/sister was so very "happy -go-lucky" since she was a kid.I will miss her deeply as I have missed her since she moved away from Pa.Suzanne, know that our whole family(Blockus's)are so sorry. God Bless all of you & to my Lil Cuz Robin.... I luv ya !!! & I will see you again . Your up there meeting my 3 little angels, & I expect you to care of them til one day when we all will be reunited. forever in my heart & memories.

My first memory of Robin is as a three year old standing on the porch of the Franklin Street house with her mother and grandmother. I can recall Robin at so many pivotal points in her life. There are so many memories that swirl through my brain and end in tears for her life filled with celebrations and disenchantment, accomplishments and complexity.
Michael, Marshall and Sophie there are no words that can ease the sting of losing your mother. Time lessens pain and offers us a perspective where we might gain insight; remember moments of joyfulness and nurturing and recall the woman who connected with you in a way impossible by any other person.
I will hold on to Robin's eccentricities and robust energy that defined her as the youngest sister, the sister-in-law, the mother and the confidante when my grief was unbearable.
Peace to the family. Peace to Robin.

Marshall, Sophie and Mickey,
I am so sad that your time with your mother was cut short. She was so devoted and supportive of the three of you. She always seemed tireless to me when it came to making sure you had what you wanted and needed. She was so proud of all of you. I will never forget the wonderful memories of the time we shared in Lewisburg and my visits with you in Ashville and Newport News. Your mom made everything seem special and worth celebrating. She was a beautiful and brilliant human being who never quite believed that about herself. But, I believed and I hope that is how you remember her too. Much love to all of you. I hope you find peace in the good memories you shared. Remember that grief is the gift that lets us know we loved and were loved.
Mark, Suzanne, Timothy, Tim and Heather I also extend my heartfelt sympathies to you. I know the loss of Robin in your life will leave a void that can't be filled. She really was one-of-a-kind.
