TUNKHANNOCK — Rose Ann A. White, of Tunkhannock, died Saturday evening in Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock.
She was born in Salem Township, Wayne County, on Jan. 5, 1937, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Mae (Pruss) Perkosky.
Rose was a 1954 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and a 1956 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. After receiving her R.N. diploma, she worked in Mercy Hospital for several years, retiring from Tyler Memorial Hospital, where she worked for over 35 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity BVM and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Preceding her in death were brothers, Anthony and Fr. Francis Perkosky; and a sister, Florence B. D'Urso.
Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Donald White; son, Donald and Sandra White, of Clinton, N.J.; daughters, Sharon and Patrick Cosgrove, of Wilmington, N.C., Jennifer and Michael Azzolina, of Drexel Hill; grandchildren, Ashley, Donald P. and Katherine White.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, Pa. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
