Stanley Jerominski Obituary

Mr. Stanley J. Jerominski, 88, of North Main Street in the North End section of Wilkes-Barre, passed into Eternal Life Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2009, in the Inpatient Unit of Hospice of the Visiting Nurses Association at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Oct. 29, 1920, in Barnsboro, he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (Hornazy) Jerominski. He was educated in the city schools.
Until his retirement, Mr. Jerominski was employed by the former Hy-Art Lamp Company of Wilkes-Barre for more than 25 years. Previously, he was employed as a coal miner for 20 years in various mines throughout the Wyoming Valley.
He was a member of the Catholic Community of North Wilkes-Barre and held membership in the United Mine Workers of America and the North End Slovak Citizens Club. Active in church affairs for many years, Mr. Jerominski served in maintenance, as an usher, crossing guard and would dress as “Santa’s Helper” for Christmas at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church.
He and his wife, the former Margaret D. Tomasko, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 17, 2009.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Margaret, at home; are his son, Stanley R. Jerominski; his daughter, Ann Marie Jerominski, both of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, including Shane Jerominski, Sheena Murdock and her husband, Matthieu; three great-grandchildren, Sherik Jerominski, Shyla and Savannah Murdock; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of his family. The John V. Morris Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, is honored to care for Mr. Jerominski and his family at this time.
