Theodore Fink, 80, of Carle Place, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, in Uniondale, N.Y.
Born in Wilkes-Barre in 1945, he was the son of the late Jack and Ann Kotok Fink. He was a graduate of Temple University and earned his Medical Doctorate from Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Fink completed his internship and residency at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Fink served as a dedicated pediatrician for over 30 years with Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, N.Y., (now NYU Langone Hospital, Long Island), a profession he truly loved. He also served as a Clinical Professor in the Hospital's Pediatrics Department. He took great joy in advising and medically caring for his young patients. Notably, he was a member of the team at Beth Israel that treated the first child whose leukemia went into complete remission.
He was an avid reader who enjoyed music, Broadway musicals, and cooking. He was also a great lover of dogs, particularly Finnegan and Patches. Professionally, he maintained memberships with the American Medical Association and the New York State Medical Society.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving brother, Nathan Fink; sister-in-law, Joanne Fink; and nephew, Kenneth Fink.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, in Holche Yosher Cemetery, 1229 S. Main St., Hanover Township, with Rabbi David Kaplan officiating.

Although I am aware that we all have a limited life journey, I am truly saddened by this passing. Teddy was not only a family friend, he was one whom I always admired. I remember when he determined to lose weight, which he did so successfully. I remember his dedication to his patients. I remember his personal sorrows.
I extend my deepest condolences to Nathan and family. We have lost a wonderful brother.
