William Gaffney, 55, of Pringle, passed away Sept. 20, 2025, following a brief illness.
He was the son of Mary Elizabeth Gaffney and the late William Gaffney, born on Dec. 27, 1969, in Wilkes-Barre. He graduated from Bishop Hoban High School, Class of 1988, and recently completed his 29th year working at Procter & Gamble in Mehoopany.
William was a selfless man who was actively involved in his community. He previously served as a volunteer firefighter in Pittston, was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a Trustee at Elk's Lodge #109.
He is remembered by his friends and family as a loving father and husband who most enjoyed spending time with his wife of 32 years, his five children and his two grandchildren. His love for his family shone through in everything he did.
William especially looked forward to surprising his wife with weekend trips and concerts, gathering with his grandchildren and sharing meals with the ones he loved most.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Karen; his children, Kyle (Jennifer) Gaffney, Connor (Rachel) Gaffney, Donovan (Aliyah) Gaffney, Abigail Gaffney and Cierra Gaffney; his sister, Kathleen (Ed) Breheny; and his grandchildren, Oliver and Claire Gaffney.
A visitation will be conducted from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a private family Mass of Christian Burial and interment.

I have known Bill for 29 years as a coworker and a friend. He has left behind many great memories for myself as well as so many others. He will certainly live on through all of us as a genuine individual we all gained respect for.
