Connie Byrd Obituary

Connie Louise Byrd

August 10, 1948 -

November 17, 2025

KINGSPORT - Connie Louise Byrd, age 77 of Kingsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 17, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Connie was born on August 10, 1948, in Kingsport, TN to Conley and Margaret Byrd.

Connie worked for many years as a CPA with Bennett Edwards, Domtar and AFG until her retirement. Connie was devoted member of Orebank Chapel Central Baptist Church and a devout Christian. She faithfully attended for many years until her health prevented her from attending services.

She enjoyed listening to gospel music, photography, gardening: especially roses, and traveling with her mother and brother. She was a UT Vols basketball fan and had many hobbies.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Steven Kemper Byrd. She is survived by many loving cousins and close friends.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Connie's neighbors, Trish and Chad Bingham, and Ann Lewis, who were instrumental in her care.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Gunnings Cemetery with Pastor Tim Reasor officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm.
