Esther Sawyer
Esther V. Scott Sawyer was born December 3, 1933 to the late Willie and Victoria Scott in Jacksonville, Florida. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday July 22, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, Pa.
Esther was a Domestic Engineer, she loved to cook and take care of her family and the community. She was an avid bowler and loved to go to Gospel Plays.
Esther accepted Christ as her personal savior under the late Rev. Dr. David A. Armstead and joined Miracle COGIC, Aliquippa, (NKA) Greater Miracle Ministries, Ambridge, Pastor, Rev. Dr. Laneer Fisher whom she loved dearly.,
In addition to her parents Mother Sawyer was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Lee Nelson; sons: Joseph Scott and Eric Nelson and daughter Dianne Dais Woods; grand-daughter, Dana'e Woods; sisters Mary Scott, Dianne Scott, and Pernese Burnell and brothers, Allen and James Scott.
Missing and cherishing her with fond memories are her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Willie Lee Sawyer; daughter: Estrelita Taylor, son: Willie Sawyer Jr.; 15 grandchildren: 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Special thanks to Amplified Homecare workers.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 6-8pm at Greater Miracle Ministries, 120 Merchant St. Ambridge, PA and Home-going Celebration, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 12:00 noon.
