George DeCanio Obituary
Seale, Alabama
George A. DeCanio Sr., 79, of Seale, Alabama, died Thursday, May 14, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital.
Mr. DeCanio was born June 11, 1940, in New York City, New York. He retired from LTV Steel as a Mill Wright Inspector and also served in the United States Air Force. Mr. DeCanio was predeceased by his wife, Stella McCullough DeCanio; mother, Mary Semonick DeCanio; and brother, Thomas DeCanio.
Mr. DeCanio is survived by his children, Catherine (Alan) Boso of Green Sea, South Carolina, Cheryl Hellandbrand of East Liverpool, Ohio, George Anthony DeCanio Jr. of Seale, Alabama, Mary (Riley) Massey of Conway, South Carolina, and Helen Lalley of Seale, Alabama; brothers, Nicholas P. DeCanio of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Ronald DeCanio of Maineville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the LINSLEY-ROYAL FUNERAL HOME IN EAST PALESTINE, OHIO. Interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory and honor of George Anthony DeCanio.
