Shawn McMillen Obituary
Hopewell Twp. - Shawn Michael McMillen, 54, of Hopewell Twp., passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born March 10, 1967, in Aliquippa, he was the son of Jack and Joyce (Boyd) McMillen, of Independence Twp.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kurt, in August of 2020.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Sherrie and Ed Domitrovich; a nephew, Ed (Lauren) Domitrovich; two nieces, Allison (Tyler) Thellman and Haley Domitrovich; three great nieces, Eva and Amelia Domitrovich, and Sutton Thellman; also his dog and buddy Blue.
Shawn was employed at McMillen family hairstyling in Aliquippa for over 35 years. Shawn spent that time making countless friendships, and sharing his work days side by side with his family. Day in and day out, Shawn was happy to please his customers and always made sure they left with a smile. He truly enjoyed being a part of his father's business. He was proud to please everyone that he came into contact with. He loved his customers as much as he loved being a barber. Shawn was an amazing son, brother and uncle. His love was unconditional. He especially enjoyed spending his spare time at Black Jack's Hideout in Cook Forest. Deer hunting was always filled with stories and memories. Shawn was a friend to all. He could always find the good in everything and everyone. He never wanted to let anyone down. Shawn was a true gentleman and a kind man. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his many customers.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 3pm to 7pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA, 15001, where a service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Hopewell Twp.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.

Dearest Jack, Joyce and Sherrie, and family, you all have my deepest sympathies. I will keep Shawn, Kurt and all the family in my thoughts and prayers. Shawn was definitely a very special man. I only met Shawn about 9 yrs. ago when I became his neighbor but he was always very nice to me and helped me out a few times. Couldn't ask for a better neighbor, I'll miss him. Prayers and Condolences to his family!

Jack and Joyce, I did not know either of your sons; however, I too am unable to put my arms around the grief you have endured during this past year. My heart is breaking for your entire family. No one should have to go through what your family has been through the past year. Both Kurt and Shawn always brought a smile to my face. Shawn will be truly missed by anyone who knew him, if even briefly. May God wrap his loving arms around you and hold you during this most difficult of times.
