Spencer King Obituary
Center Twp. - Dr. Spencer King, of Center Twp., 77, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at Shadyside Hospital. Spencer was born on September 14, 1943, in Uniontown, PA to Georganna (Fields) King and the late Oliver T. King.
Spencer was a native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Hopewell High School. He earned an undergraduate degree from Geneva College and was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical School, Nashville, TN.
He was a member of Emmanuel A.M.E. Zion Church of Aliquippa, where he formerly served as Chairman of the Trustee Board for many years, a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the FROGS club, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity Rho Boule, National Dental Association (NDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Beaver County Dental Society.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Oliver T. King and sister, Georgetta Marie (King) Jackson.
In addition to his mother Georganna, he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Catherine (Williams) King; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Marie; Amber Lynn and Mark (Vincent); and granddaughter, Taylor Lynn. Also surviving are his sister, Rosalyn Olive; three brothers and three sisters-in-law; Oliver Allen and Mildred; Melvin Nathaniel and Karen; Wesley Erwin and Lisa; and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dr. King's (Doc's) warm personality endeared him to many friends who also mourn his departure.
Friends will be received Saturday, April 24, 2021, at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA, 15001, where a viewing will be held Saturday from 10am until 11am, immediately followed by a private service. Due to COVID restrictions, please be mindful and limit your time when offering your condolences. In lieu of flowers, please kindly make donations to Hillman Cancer Center.

I came across Dr. King’s obituary because my brother and I had a conversation a few minutes ago about a wonderful dentist he had a number of years ago. He said he wished he could go back to him. On impulse I googled Dr King’s name and found this obituary. My brother spoke highly of Dr.King as a dentist and also as a kind, caring man. Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Spencer was a very kind hearted person soft spoken and admired by many he set a find example in being all he could be in the community he will be missed by many. Condolences to Mrs. King and the family, I graduated from Hopewell HIgh in 1961 with Spencer, he was a very soft spoken and kind person. I met you at the last class reunion. It's a tough time for all of you and I will keep you in my prayers.. Spencer will be missed..
