Jerry Lee Johnson, 73, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, February 12, 2018
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Rahn and Mr. Blaze Lynn officiating. Interment with Air Force Honors will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Jerry was born on July 23, 1944 in Borger, Texas to the late Waylan and Frances (Konecny) Johnson. He and Peggy Rahn were married on February 12, 1963 in Vernon, Texas. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He was Past Commander of VFW Post 10355 in Quanah, Texas. Jerry loved hot rods and racing. He was also a Past President of the Wichita County Corvette Association. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time at the lake with his family, whom he dearly loved.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of Wichita Falls; daughter Terri Calhoun and husband Clifford of Olney; son Greg Johnson and wife Cathy of Iowa Park; daughter Sherrie Mobley and husband Calvin of Iowa Park; grandchildren Justin Skinner and wife Ninnette, Joseph Campsey, Chloe Johnson, Randa Edmonds and husband Brandon, Virgie Mobley, and Christian Mobley; great-grandchildren Blaze Lynn and wife Anne Marie, Steele and Preslee Skinner, and Channing and Barrett Edmonds; brothers Ron Johnson and wife Valerie of Elephant Butte, New Mexico, and Dan Johnson and wife Karen of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Jerry's name to Fresenius Dialysis Center in Wichita Falls.

Jerry was my Uncle, he and my Father Don Lotspeich (his brother n law) were very close. Since was about 10 years old Jerry has been a very colorful character in my life. His kids were the cousins I grew up with and called Family.
Jerry had a huge heart, and was an example of a family man in his life and activities.
I was shocked and saddened greatly to hear he had passed away. I wept openly and often and it's hard writing this and not again being emotional.

I had the pleasure to meet Jerry a few years ago. I really liked him from the first time I met him and his wonderful wife Peggy, and his children. They are a wonderful family. My prayers go out to the whole family and extended family. God must need another angel around the throne tonight

Jerry was an awesome man!!! He raised 3 wonderful children who will miss him dearly!! His passing will leave a hole in many people's heart!!

Peggy and family, just wanted to let you know how sorry I am at Jerry's passing. But he is no longer suffering. He and Cliff are probably together as I speak looking down on us and keeping us safe!
