Anne-Marie Gieselman Obituary
Born on Oct. 1, 1954, in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Arthur N. Mindling and Helen McCullough Mindling.
Biz was an RN and Nursing Supervisor at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Virginia Beach for 31 years.
Surviving are her husband, George Gieselman; her three children, Paul (Jackie) Gieselman of Colorado, Katie (Jeff) Drewiske of Virginia, Michael Gieselman of the home; one grandson, Caleb Gieselman of Colorado; two brothers, Fr. Joseph A. Mindling, OFM Cap., of Washington D.C., and Fr. J. Daniel Mindling, OFM Cap., of Emmetsburg, Md.; and one sister, Sister Katie Mindling, RSM of Silver Spring, Md. Also surviving are three aunts, Mary T. McCullough Wilhelm of New Philadelphia, Edith (Cal) McCullough of Carrollton (formerly of Dover) and Josephine McCullough of Solvang, Calif., along with numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Friday (tonight), Jan. 16, 2009, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Virginia Beach beginning at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. with her brothers, Frs. Joseph and Daniel Mindling, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Gynecological Cancer Foundation via the Web site www.thegcf.org. Condolences may be offered online at the funeral home's Web site.
