Clyde L. Tyler

Tyler, Clyde L. Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and caring member of the community. Age 79, passed away March 25, 2012 while surrounded by his family at the Villages of North Branch. Clyde was the youngest of Ernest and Cleo Tyler's five children, born and raised in Crooks, SD. He raised his family in Baudette, MN and retired to Forest Lake. He had been a First Lieutenant in the US Army, stationed in Germany, Ft. Benning, GA and Ft. Riley, KS. Clyde served as Executive Vice President of 1st National Bank of Baudette. He was an active Civic Leader, having served the City of Baudette as Mayor and City Council Member, as well as Treasurer of the School Board. He was an active member of First Lutheran Church of Baudette, and had been President of the Church Council. Clyde was also a member in good standing of the Masonic Lodge. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed boating, camping, grouse hunting, and reading. A very competitive game player, he took great pleasure in every win. Clyde was very giving of himself and will be truly missed by Bert, his beloved wife of nearly 58 years; children, Tracy (Tony) Nickelsen, Robert (Paul), Trudy (Scott) Lofgren; siblings, Ernest Jr. "Bud" (Donna), Bill (Grace), Jessie Tschetter, Faye Wade; grandchildren, Tyler and Madeline MacKenzie, Katharine and Karley Nickelsen; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 1660 W. Cty. Rd. B, Roseville. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial service 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at The Villages of North Branch Chapel, 5379 383rd St., North Branch. Family will greet friends from 9:30 until time of Memorial. Interment at Ft.
