John Bordner Obituary

John W. Bordner
64, of 6696 Mt. Pleasant Rd. N.E., Mineral City (Zoarville), died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, in Aultman Hospital at Canton. Born Dec. 21, 1946, in Canton, he was a son of the late Russell D. and Beulah (Snyder) Bordner. He retired from the former Zedmark Co. at Parral after working there for over 30 years. John was an Army Veteran and proudly served in Viet Nam from 1966-1968.
Surviving are two daughters and a son, Kandy (Michael) Hartong of Canton, Tina Bordner of New Philadelphia and John bordner of New Philadelpohia; six grandchildren; a sister, Emmabelle (Robert) Taylor of Bolivar; a sister-in-law, Nancy Bordner of Dover; an aunt, Mary Gregory of Orrville; an uncle, Robert Schmucker of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell William Bordner; and a grandson, Bradley.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sandy Valley Church of God at Sandyville. Pastor Clifford E. Hughes will officiate and burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. For those unable to attend please visit the funeral home's web site to share a memory and sign the guest register.

John was a wonderful and kindly neighbor for all my 29 years. From buying my girl scout cookies to watching my little girl wave at him while we get the mail. We will miss his ornry smile. God Bless
