Judith Lee Yost 1941-2016

"Together Again"
age 74, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 in Hennis Care Center at Dover following a brief illness. A daughter of the late Roland and Elsie Sligar Huff, Judie was born at New Philadelphia on Oct. 14, 1941. She attended the former Midvale High School and was employed for many years as a housekeeper at Motel 6 and later Travel Lodge at New Philadelphia. Judie enjoyed making trips to various casinos and visiting with friends at the New Philadelphia VFW.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth (Rick) Varnes of Dover and Julie Sweet of Redford, Mich.,; her grandchildren, Abby and Madison Varnes and Courtney and Joshua Myers; a great-grandchild, Preston Varnes; four brothers, William (Debbie) Huff of New Philadelphia, Donald (Judy) Huff of Dennison, John (Karen) Huff of Uhrichsville, and Dan (Lisa) Huff; a sister-in-law, Shelly Huff all of New Philadelphia and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Bozo" Yost; and two brothers, Jody Huff and Ronnie Huff.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a service celebrating Judie's life in the funeral home's chapel at 2 p.m. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow and inurnment in the East Avenue Cemetery will be held at a later date.
