LARRY SISSON Obituary
75, a life resident of Bolivar died Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar. Born December 22, 1942 in Canton, he was a son of the late Robert and Glenda Eckenweiler Sisson. Larry was also preceded in death by a brother, David Sisson. He retired as a Custodian from the Tusky Valley School District after many years of service. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg and enjoyed being with his family and gardening.
A loving husband and father, Larry will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Edith Miller Sisson, whom he married on October 5, 1968; son, Terry (Missy) Sisson of Strasburg, daughter, Kristi Sisson of Bolivar; granddaughter, Mercedes Sisson; step-grandchildren, Maddie and Lucas Burk and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 11:00 am in the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg with Pastor Jason Rissler officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Larry may do so by visiting the online obituaries link on the funeral home's website. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, Strasburg or to the American Cancer Society.

I was privileged to meet Larry in this life and serve alongside his and Edith's outstanding son, Terry. Kim and I were deeply saddened to hear of his illness and passing. We wish the family solace and comfort in knowing he is with God and away from suffering. We look forward to meeting again one day when we are all reunited in God's kingdom to share a laugh and celebrate the life of a great man, husband, father, grandfather and a shining example of a Great American. God Speed, Mr. Sisson.

Edith and family, I am deeply saddened to read of Larry's passing . Larry , Dave and I shared many grand times together while growing up in Bolivar. He was a person that could be called upon when a need arose. Please accept my heart felt condolences at you and your families loss.

To Larry's family: I was so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We worked together at Tusky Valley, and I always enjoyed our afternoon conversations.
It was evident that he loved his family, and his zest for life made me smile. He was a good man.
