Norman Meese Obituary

Norman Eugene Meese
95, of Bowling Green, Ohio, formerly of Cranford, N.J., died Friday morning, Dec. 5, 2014, at the Sterling House of Bowling Green. He was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Goshen Township, Tuscarawas County, to the late Millard and Edna (Francis) Meese. On Feb.14, 1976, he married Mary Sue "Molly" (Neill) Meese and she survives. He was previously married to Ann (Bulgo) Meese, and she preceded him in death. Norman was a Midvale High School graduate; and then enlisted and served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. After being honorably discharged he graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Business Degree, where he was a member and former president of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He then attended the University of Michigan and received his Masters of Business Administration. He worked for Owen-Illinois for over 32 years, retiring as the plant manager of the plastics division. In his spare time, Norman enjoyed gardening and golfing and was a proud member of BGSU Falcon Club.
He is survived by his wife, Molly; four sons: Steve Meese; Robert Meese; Gregory (Theresa) Meese; Jeffery Meese; three step-daughters, Chris (Dan) Hathaway; Cathy Bargmann-Hummell; Cynthia Bargmann;, and 10 grandchildren and soon to be born great- grandson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Meese; sister, Mildred Heidenreich; three brothers: Millard, Harold, and David Meese.
Norman's wishes were for no formal services. The family suggests memorials to BGSU Foundation c/o BGSU Foundation Office Mileti Alumni Center Bowling Green, OH 43403-0055, Wood County Humane Society, 801 Van Camp Road.
