William R. "Bill" Morey

Helena —William Robert "Bill" Morey, age 77, left this life on Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home at Canyon Ferry Lake after a long hard-fought battle with prostate cancer.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Jo Ellen Elliston on October 19, 1958 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. In the mid-1970s Bill and Jo started a wholesale turquoise jewelry business that thrived and evolved into just gifts and souvenirs and took them all over the country meeting people and doing wholesale trade shows.

Bill is survived by his brother Jack, his wife of 56 years, Jo Ellen; son, Bill Jr (Diane), son, Breck; grandchildren, Jessica Rubino, Jordan Morey, Mike Smith, Loren Smith and Joseph Morey and one great-granddaughter Madison Richtmyer and many nieces, nephews and friends who called him Grandpa Bill.

The family will receive friends during the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today, August 5th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Avenue; and also beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 6th in the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1610 6th Avenue. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 6th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1610 6th Avenue.
