Dr. William Adamson Sloan,
William Adamson Sloan, age 77, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away at 6:56 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 27, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to Norton Quincy Sloan and Catharine (Aulabaugh) Sloan.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He also was a member of the Piano Technician's Guild and Gideon's International.
Survivors include his wife, Hannah Kathy (Dosa) Sloan, whom he married on August 5, 1979; sons, William Adamson Sloan, Jr. of Los Angeles, Calf., and James Emery Sloan of New York N.Y.; brother, Norton Quincy Sloan and his wife, Sandra (Sampson) Sloan of Ipswich, Mass.; nephews, Norton Q. Sloan III of Sydney, Australia, and Stephen Sloan of Belmont Mass.; niece, Laura Sloan of Newton, Mass.; and cousins, John Aulabaugh of Centerville, Ohio and Ann Aulabaugh of Groton, Conn.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 202 E. High St., New Philadelphia, OH, on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to William's true passion: Gideon's International, PO. Box 140800, Nashville TN 37214-0800. Arrangements are by
