Imogene Zbinden Obituary
Imogene was born December 2, 1941 in Watseka, the daughter of Henry J. and Mariechen Twietmeyer Koester. She married Daniel B. Zbinden on October 21, 1961 in Ash Grove and he survives.
Besides her husband, Daniel, she is survived by two sons, Jay Zbinden of Cissna Park and James (Kelli) Zbinden of Gibson City; two daughters, Jeanne Stebbins of Milford and Jolene (Samuel) Mainer of Sugar Land, TX; two brothers, Henry Koester of Bellflower and Steve Koester of Waukegan; seven grandchildren, Anthony and Macy Stebbins, Ben, Kaiti, Levi, David, and Zachary Zbinden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alan and Jerry Zbinden.
Mrs. Zbinden enjoyed attending and worshiping at The Living Word Church in Roberts. She loved being with her friends and family, especially her seven grandchildren. Imogene graduated from business school in Omaha, NE and then went on to cosmetology school in Bradley, IL where she later became a beautician.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Living Word Church in Roberts. Rev. Douglas Lee will officiate. Burial will be at Cissna Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and 1 hour prior to service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Cissna Park Fire and Rescue Department, Iroquois Memorial Hospice, or donor's choice.

I was sadden to learn of the death of my friend Imogene. We worked together at IHM in the 80's. I remember her as upbeat and caring, always pleasant and always smiling.
