Josephine Polson Obituary

Josephine (Courtney) Polson, 93, Sheldon, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
She was born November 19, 1922, a daughter of Thurston (T.J.) Verkler and Bessie (Miller) Verkler.
She married Ollie Polson Jr. in Watseka, on May 15, 1971.
Mrs. Polson worked as a Quality Control Specialist for ESNA in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
She was a member of the Household Science Club, Milford Women's Club, The Royal House of Fashion, Red Hat Society, and the Associate Member of Royal Neighbors (Stockland Camp).
She enjoyed quilting, crafting, making dolls, and fishing.
Her survivors include sons and daughter-in-law: Austin Courtney of Pocahontas, AR, and Jerry and Dolores Courtney of Cookeville, Tenn.; brother-in-law: Henry McFarland of Kokomo, IN; sister-in-law: Barbara Verkler of Cabot, AR; grandchildren: Sheryl (Marc) Mercier, Jim (Rhonda) Courtney Jr., Dale (Julie) Courtney, David (Robin) Courtney, Dean (Trinity) Courtney, Darrell Courtney, Jim (Debbie) Courtney, Ken (Misty) Courtney, and Carol (Randy) Rabe; 14 great-Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Ollie Polson Jr.; one son, Jimmy Courtney; and eleven siblings.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 1-2pm, at Fears Family Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Funeral services are Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm, at Fears Family Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Memorials can be made to Donor's Choice.
