Randal D. Wade

1958 - 2023

Randal D. Wade, 64, of Westville passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. He was born on August 31, 1958 in Watseka, the son of Harold D. and Gertrude E. (Hubner) Wade.
Surviving are two sisters, Linda (David) Jorgenson of Milford and Lisa (Walter) Lotz of Champaign; one brother, Robert (Leah) Wade of Milford; four nieces and nephews, Briana (Jason) Jorgenson Forman, Morgan (Cole) Lotz Richter, Devin Jorgenson, and Evan Lotz; two great nieces, Ines Forman and Ivy Richter; and he is also survived by Dawn Campbell, his ex-wife and devoted friend, as well as his feline companion, Toni.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and one nephew, Tyler Wade Jorgenson.
Randy attended Milford Public Schools and graduated in 1977. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Randy followed in his father's footsteps and spent the majority of his career as a tool and die maker, working his way up to engineer, and eventually retiring from Danville Metal Stamping. Mr. Wade loved watching old movies, collected model airplanes and trains, and was an avid fisherman when his health allowed. He was a lifelong LA Rams fan and greatly enjoyed their latest Super Bowl title. Mr. Wade was able to enhance the lives of others through his tissue and organ donation.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service from 10:00-11:00 am. Rev. Doug Minton will officiate. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland.
Cremation rites are being handled by Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.
