Verna B. Howe

Verna B. Howe, 82, of Watseka, Illinois, passed away November l3, 2013 at 12:35 pm in the Watseka Health Care Center.
She was born February 3, 1932 in Clarence, Illinois to the late Louis & June Wilson Knerr.
She graduated from the Potomac High School, class of l950.
Verna loved sewing, cooling, camping and her specialty was baking pies. Her first marriage was to Robert Rudisill and later she married Gary L. Howe, February 14, 1974 in Watseka, IL. He preceded her in death December 5, 1994 in Kentland, IN.
Surviving are her children Rodney R. Rudisill, Dayton, Ohio, Craig W. Rudisill, Lafayette, IN, Russell C. Rudisill, (wife, Linda), Rankin, IL, and Ginny L. McGraw, Fowler, IN. Also step-children, Gary S. Howe, (wife, Sharon:) Denver, CO, Jana Henk, (husband, Dale), Danville, IL, Deanna Canon, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lisa Jackson, Danville, IL., three sisters, Jean Abernathy, Fithian, IL, Vonna Eoughton, Watseka, IL and Carol Woolridge, Kankakee, IL. She was the grandmother of 19 and great grandmother of l2.
Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Verna was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm (CST) at the Gerts Funeral Home, Brook, IN.
Funeral service will be on Monday, November 18, 2013 at ll:00 am (CST) at the Gerts Funeral Home, with Rev. Sue Spurlin, officiating.
Burial will follow at the Morris Chapel Cemetery, Iroquois, Illinois.
