Alan W. Melanson

Melanson, Alan W. CLIFTON PARK Alan W. Melanson, 60 of Clifton Park, passed away at Samaritan Hospital in Troy on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Ernest and Mary Jean Mullen Melanson. He graduated from Cohoes High School and H.V.C.C. with an associate degree in computer science. He retired from the N.Y.S. Unified Court System as a data computer analyst in 2016. He loved fishing, woodworking, crafts, sewing, and spending time at his lake house at Lake Champlain. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Catherine; his children, Brianna and Casey; his stepchildren Michael (Meredith) Roseo and Angela (John) Revello; and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Jason, Olivia, Abigail, Madelyn, and Michael. He was the brother of Lou Anne (George) Bigaouette, Gary (Linda) Melanson and Lynn (Robert) Grant; and is also survived by his sister-in-law Eileen McMahon and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18, at 12 p.m. in the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia St., Cohoes with Reverend Gordon Drake officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service.
