Cooper, Alice M. COHOES Alice M. Cooper, 81 of Kensington Square, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at her home. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Gilbert Cooper. She was educated at the former St. Anne's School in Waterford and Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes. Alice had been employed for 35 years at the N.Y.S. Department of Taxation and Finance and retired in 2003. She was a member of the CSEA. She was a member of the Columbiettes, Waterford Senior Citizens with whom she played Bocce, Watervliet Senior Citizens and sang with their choir and Mechanicville Seniors. She bowled with the Cohoes K of C and sang in the choir at the former St. Anne's Church. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. She is survived by her brother, Gilbert Cooper (Katherine E. Cooper) of Rochester; and was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Cooper; and her brother, John Cooper. She was the aunt of Erin J. Hassall and Bryan J. Cooper. Several grandnephews and nieces also survive. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 29, at 9 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. So sorry to learn Alice passed; but she was looking forward to events and not aware of death´s approach; so I know she is at peace; she was a woman who enjoyed fun times. Love and prayers for your families. She was a neighbor on our circle.
