Aloysha and I were friends for 33 years. I have so many fond memories of the weekends I spent with her and her husband Jeff in Staten Island and Bay Ridge, and all the visits they made to Albany before they moved here. I traveled her journey through ovarian cancer with her, and when she moved to Santa Fe to be with Jeff's family I knew I would probably never see her again. We kept in touch by e-mail and phone calls until just a few days before she died. Rest in peace Aloysha; you've been asking God to take you home and he did. Give my best to all my friends and family up there and keep watch over those of us still down here.

I am deeply saddened by Allie's passing. Although I didn't know her long, she had a great sense of humor and I looked forward to her FB posts to keep us so far away involved in her life.

Allie, You were the first friend that I have made in such a long time who made me laugh, create, reflect and ponder on people and things going on in this world. You were a kind and gentle soul with a lovely smile and laugh that I will miss most-who adored life, your husband, Jeff, lots of splashes of color, and animals; especially your cats and your beloved Rooby. I know how much you loved living in East Greenbush and Albany, and going to The University here. May you be in a better place and on to better things now. I know Heaven can use a special angel like you to keep things hopping. I will never forget you, especially how you kept volunteering at the Salvation Army even while you suffered during your cancer treatments. You were such an inspiration to me- to everyone. I will remember you always-especially at Christmas and New Year's Eve whenever I hear classical carols sung. With great admiration and love, Carol.
