Andrew "Andy" Johnson

Johnson, Andrew "Andy" SELKIRK Andrew "Andy" Johnson, 50, of Selkirk, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a brief illness. Born in Rockville Center, N.Y. on December 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Andrew A. Johnson and Ann (Smith) Scaglione and brother of the late Joanne Johnson. Andy was employed by the Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart for over 20 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and his passions were hunting, camping and deep sea fishing. For many years, he enjoyed vacationing with his family in Maine. Survivors include a sister, Sharon Johnson of Slingerlands; a brother, Kevin Johnson of Delmar; and sons, Andrew E., Michael R. and Jacob D. Johnson, all of Selkirk. He is also survived by Donna Weidman and her son, Patrick Peck. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter's Hospice Inn for their compassionate care during Andy's final days. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
