Andrew Rowinski

Rowinski, Andrew COLONIE Andrew Rowinski, 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Vincent and Anna Gawronski Rowinski. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Adamski Rowinski, and his son, Andrew Joseph Rowinski. Andrew was a veteran of the Polish Army before coming to America in 1949 and worked at the Beechnut factory, then for Friehofer's bakery in the sanitation department. He loved gardening, making homemade wine, pure raspberry syrup and spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was the Rowinski family patriarch and will be missed by all. He was the father of Stephen Rowinski, John Rowinski (Joanne Sidoti), and Gene Rowinski (Linda Ernest); father-in-law of Lois Boudreau Rowinski; brother of Krystina Bielawski; brother-in-law of Krystyna Adamski and Nona Adamski. He was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Gina Marie Rowinski. Funeral services, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, now located at 208 N. Allen St., Albany thence to Christ Our Light Catholic Church, Loudonville at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
