Anne Fischoff

Fischoff, Anne ALBANY Anne Maistelman Fischoff, age 99, of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home died on Monday morning, May 30, 2016, at the nursing home. Born in Albany, Anne was a lifelong resident and the daughter of the late Harry and Rose Berman Maistelman. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a masters degree in social work. Her life career was raising her family. She was the oldest continuing member of the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Colonie, and was an avid golfer. She very much enjoyed her many years socializing at the club. Anne had been active with Hadassah and Temple Israel in Albany, and was an avid bridge player and also played the violin. Anne was predeceased by her husbands, Dr. H. Bernard Milstein and Dr. Samuel C. Fischoff. She was the loving mother of Louis Milstein (Debra) and Stephen Milstein (Sue); sister of Ethel Grushky; grandmother of Kim (Mark) and Kate (Alex); and four great-grandchildren. Aunt of Jeffrey Shapiro, Harriet Kramer and Ellen Woloshin. Anne also leaves her former daughter-in-law, Vicki Caplan Milstein. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave., Albany, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Beth Abraham Jacob Cemetery in Guilderland. The period of mourning will be observed on Wednesday, June 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the home of Ellen Woloshin, 9 Marion Ave., Albany. Bernard Milstein Scholarship Fund at Temple Israel, 600 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208, or the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Ave., Extension, Albany, NY 12203.
