Arlan Abraham Walker

Walker, Arlan Abraham LOS ANGELES, Calif. It is with great sadness that the family of Arlan Abraham Walker announces his death. Missing since 1996, Ari was recently discovered to have died by accident in the waters off the surfing beaches of southern California in February of 1998. He was 24 at the time of his death. Arlan was born on February 21, 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pa., graduated from Guilderland High School near Albany, N.Y. and studied electrical engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology and the Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan. Son of the late Roslyn (Cohen) Walker (of Pittsburgh and then Albany), Arlan is survived by a loving family: his father Michael, now of Detroit, Mich., and his brother Douglas, Douglas's wife Elizabeth and their sons, Samuel and Gabriel, all of Hamden, Conn. Close friends and family have been invited to attend a funeral and unveiling at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 21 at the Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068. Friends and family are also invited to attend approximately one-hour services in Detroit on March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at The Birmingham Temple, 28611 West Twelve Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48334 and on March 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 Krumkill Road, Albany, NY, 12208.
